Christmas Day - Perfect

What a wonderful day we had. We actually set the alarm

for 7AM. The girls had just woken up and we had to go in
and get Kruz. Santa had come in full force and it took quite
awhile to get past this portion and onto the actually opening
of presents. The girls were given new bikes and Kruz got a
battery powered quad. We actually had to take the battery
out to get Kruz to sit still and open a few things. I am happy
to say those items were a huge hit. Thanks Santa.

The tradition in our house, just like it was growing up, is to open presents one at a time so that we can all see what everyone is getting. It takes a bit longer to do it this way, but we think well worth it. We had discussed with the girls the difference between "needs" and "wants" and they were prepared for a Christmas of "needs." Therefore, the theme for everyone was clothes. I shouldn't hear a complaint from anyone for a long time at lack of anything to wear. They each did get a few other items and the hit of the day were there MP3 players. I know...MP3 players for a 4 1/2 and almost 7 year old???.but I don't think they have turned them off in the last 24 hours. They love them!!!! And I got them cheap. Yahoo for us. It was a great morning.
We headed off to my parents at 9:30. My dad has done omelets every year for breakfast for
I don't know how long and we love it. It gives us a chance to see everyone and have Christmas with my family even in the "off" years. We got a little behind schedule, but we got to Josh's parents house for Christmas at noon, where we would stay for the remainder of the day. We did presents there and had the traditional ham, green beans, and potatoes for dinner. It tasted really good, and we were all ready to come home at about 7:00. It was a wonderful day.

Awesome gifts and cutest pictures. Oh man, Tyler woke up at 5 am and waited down by our tree until 7:30 am until we woke up to open gifts. What a patient little devil.

What a fun Christmas! It looks like your kids were extra good this year :) Cute pictures and that's too funny that you finally had to take the battery out.

Nice shot, Kruz! MP3 players?!?!? What a mom. I'm trying to hold off as long as possible. So far my girls haven't expressed interest in owning their own, we'll see how long that lasts. Looks like a great Christmas!
