Camelback Mountain

So Josh took the day off of work today so we decided to climb Camelback Mountain. We left Kruz with my dad, and we were there at 8:30. 2 adults, 2 kids, 2.8 miles up and back, less than 3 hours, and WE DID IT!!! The girls didn't even complain once. They walked and climbed the whole way and Kobi didn't even need to be carried. It was great weather, we had plenty of water, and it was just a fun, fun morning. I said at the very beginning "whoever makes it to the top first, gets an ice cream cone." Oh my gosh, the race was on. You would have thought I was offering them a million dollars. Kylee pretty much led the entire time, and Kobi wasn't letting her get too far ahead. We actually let them hold hands to take the last step together. They were serious troopers. We had a blast!!!

What a gorgeous day for hiking, good thing you took advantage before it gets too hot! Our kids love hiking, but we've never attempted a hike that long. That mountain looks high! Your kids are quite the troopers, but what do you expect out of a girl that can run 7 minute miles?!
