Fun Mini-Vacation

I have to go back a few months because this was a trip that I don't want to forget. It was Tuesday July 3rd and Josh called from work to say he was getting off early. I did some quick planning and reserved a night at a hotel in Payson. The girls helped my pack and when Josh walked in the door at 2:30, we were ready to go. It was about a 2 hour drive into the mountains and we were so grateful to get out of the heat. We checked in and got organized and the drove to the Ranger Station to get a map and hike around a bit. We stopped at a yummy pizza place for dinner and to let the kids run around. It was getting late for Kruz so we went back to hotel and put him to bed. I stayed in the room and Josh took the girls to the pool for a night swim.

We woke up on the 4th and had breakfast and headed to the Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. What a great time. We just planned on looking around and hiking a little because of Kruz, but we were having so much fun we pulled him out of the stroller and decided to carry him so we could hike more. Here was our small hike

We ended up doing the longest hike down to the bridge and coves. It was so great and the girls loved it. It was such a beautiful day. Here we are at the start of the hike.

and a look at where we were going.

We made it to the bottom and suprisingly we were not the only crazy ones with little kids.

Josh took the girls and went exploring in the coves.

It was such a great adventure for them. I hope a mini-vacation they will always remember.
