One of the advantages of living close be family, is girls' weekends. This past Friday, all the kids were left with the dads and my mom, myself and 3 of my sisters loaded up and drove to North Scottsdale for a "Scrapbooking Weekend." (Jamie lives in Washington and didn't get to come with us. It is always sad for us not to have her with us when we get together to do fun things. We miss her.) We packed up lots of photo albums, paper, pictures, machines and headed to the condo. It was so great. We certainly didn't escape the heat, but it was an uninterupted and much needed weekend away from kids. Do you know how nice it is to spread out all your scrapbooking supplies and not have to put them away again 2 hours later when the kids wake up or come home? It was great. We spent all of Friday in the condo scrapbooking until after midnight. We had a little bit of a break as we sat and watched High School Musical 2. (Pretty cute by the way) We all got a lot accomplished.

Girls Weekend
We woke up Saturday and did some more scrapbooking until we needed a pool break. We had some lunch and after we were cleaned up we left for "Recollections", a large scrapbook store. We all bought a few things and went out for Mexican food for dinner. As soon as we got back to the condo we continued with our projects. We each had a goal of things we wanted to get done. We must have stayed up until at least midnight again this night. I was able to finish everything I wanted. I was so glad for the getaway. It was great to be with my mom and sisters. I am so glad we all get along. Sunday morning we loaded up and headed home. We decided we needed to do this again, soon. We got so much accomplished and it was a well deserved break for us all. Thanks Mom!!!
