A Little About Me

So I decided to play in with this interview that my sister came across. I said I would play only if I could "tweak" the questions if I didn't like them. I am happy to say, I have answered them without changing them, and I think pretty truthful as well.

The rules: Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.” I will respond by emailing you or leaving a comment with five questions. I get to pick the questions. If you don’t have a valid email address on your blog, please provide one. You will update your blog with a post containing your answers to the questions. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1) What type of eater are you? Are you picky? Do you want your kids to eat food that you wouldn't eat?

I don't think I am a picky eater, I feel like I have at least tried a lot of things. But I am certainly very comfortable eating the things I know I already like. As far as my kids go, they eat most everything. Of course I only cook things I know I will eat, and I can't really think of anything they won't eat. They even love the abnormal kid food. ie. fish, raw cauliflower and broccoli, artichokes, those are just normal things around here. I do have to say though, coming from me who cannot stand applesauce, I did hold my breath to feel this to my kids and they all love it, so I do get a good point for that.

2) If you had unlimited funds to travel with, where would you go and who would go with you?

If the funds were unlimited to travel then I would hope the funds would also be unlimited and we need not be working, if that were the case, I would take Josh. O we would have so many places to go. I have been to a few: Africa, Australia, Bahamas, Hawaii, Washington D.C. and many other states, but Josh hasn't traveled much. Maybe we would also have unlimited time and could go lots of places. I would want my kids with us for certain trips, the ones they would be old enough to enjoy, but I would need to take my mom along also for a lot of the places. She loves to travel and was a travel agent for many years. She would make sure we didn't miss a thing.

3) Have you ever considered being a surrogate? Why or why not?

Oddly enough I have considered that. For a long time I thought I could do that if it was at the right time, the right family and the right situation. However after having Kruz, and my issues with Kidney Stones, the thought of being pregnant again with my own child is still not high up there on the "want" list. That pregnancy took a toll on my body and I'm not so sure anymore that I could do that for someone else, let alone for us with #4.

4) What's the one thing you thought you'd never do as a parent but catch yourself doing?

I am having a hard time answering this one, the only thing that pops into my mind is that I find myself, too often, hiding food in the cupboard so the kids don't find it and eat it. For example the Pink and White Animal Cookies. I have soo been craving those lately, like a bag a night, and when I can stop myself, I roll up the bag and put it far back and high in the cupboard so I know they are still there the next day. The girls don't even know I have them. I remember I had a yummy box of oatmeal cookies that were open, but I turned the box around and put them up high. You would have never known they were open, but I got home from school and my dad got up there to get a new box of crackers for the kids and discovered my trick. Oops. I should be more careful next time.

5) There is a terrible accident and you die tonight. What embarrassing things will people find that you didn't have a chance to hide or destroy?

That doesn't start out good, I don't really know that I have anything that embarrassing, except that I am a pretty organized person by nature. Since we have moved into our house, I find that there are still unfinished projects. Whether it be lack of time, lack of money...whatever the reason. I would say that our bedroom is the most awful sight right now. It is undecorated, unorganized, the "catch all" room and I am glad I lock it most of the day so noone goes in there. I am embarassed to say that I don't even have any ideas of what to do with it. I have a new white duvet cover and I can't even decide on colors to coordinate with it. How sad is that?? So please if you have ANY suggestions, I need all the help I can get.

That was good. I'm glad you didn't need to edit any of my questions. I still want a destination for your traveling though. =)

This was funny to read. I love that you hide food! I think it is hilarious that you hide food, and dad finds it...he was always stashing treats somewhere!

good job! why did nicole send me all the tough questions...yours were so much more fun to read then mine were to answer! You've done so good with the rest of your house, you'll figure something out for your bedroom!

My favorite is your food hiding trick, I do the same thing! Jason thinks it's mean not to share, but there are some things that dads just don't understand :)
