Once in a Lifetime...

....Opportunities. Do you ever feel like sometimes these opportunities come up, and you just feel so blessed and lucky to be a part of them?? That is how we have felt as a family for quite sometime now. It seems like for so long you work, work, work and your "playtime" is lacking, or you don't have the extra money to have "date night" so you stay home, or you finally have some extra funds...but how should you really spend it??? Well that is where we are now. We have had some things given to us from different people and we know that because we are getting to do these fun things, someone else isn't able to. We are so grateful we are getting these opportunities and grateful for the people who are thinking of us. Some of the things we have done together, and other things have just been for Josh. I don't ever want him to not be able to do things like this that come up, so I'm glad he gets to go and have fun doing something that we probably wouldn't get to do on our own anytime soon, if ever. So here are a couple of the fun things we have gotten to do over the past several months.

Keith Urban Concert - in the suite

Fiesta Bowl - 3rd row back

Suns Game - 5th row back

I had one older brother and then there was me and my 3 younger sisters...we were all about the girls! I, however, had a feeling I'd be a mom of boys from an experience on my mission. Still there is really nothing one can do to prepare for the onslaught of a boy!! I know some pretty energetic girls, too, but boys just seem to go, go, go, go, go and go! Even with a very mild oldest, a house of boys is simply chaos most of the time! What do we do? How do we take care of the necessities, like laundry (they need clothes to replace all those muddy ones!) and clean toilets (since they'll probably drink from it one day!) and don't forget cooking...BOYS CAN EAT!!! All I can say is embrace it. Kiss him instead of yell ...grab your camera (you're obviously good at that judging from your post!) and try to involve him in your chores. I let my little one help me throw the clothes in the washing machine or let him help me sweep the floor. I let them use the vacuum extensions to pretend vacuum while I really vacuum. I'm sure that's nothing you haven't thought of already, but maybe just knowing there are other "boy moms" out there living the same life will send you some comfort!

Oh, and you're right...there's nothing quite like the love of a little boy to his mom....so special!

YOU GOT TO GO SEE KEITH URBAN??? NOOOOOOOOOOOO FAIR!!!!!!! Okay, it IS fair, you deserve it. What I wouldn't give? Trent says it's okay to be crazy about Keith as long as I have enough love in my heart for the both of them.
