Since January, Kylee has been taking piano lessons. I am so proud of her. She is a very fast learner, and has one of those photographic memories. She can basically play something after just hearing it once. I was afraid she wasn't really learning because she couldn't always tell me the names of the notes, or what finger was supposed to be where. But as her songs have gotten harder, I have been IMPRESSED. She is doing so great. She practices hard and cannot walk by the piano without just playing whatever song is open in her book. She just can't do it. It is almost a joke now, because I always say something to her, but she is drawn to the piano. I can't wait for her to just keep getting better. I already love hearing the 5 church songs she knows. I know one day she will be a great piano player. Good Job Kylee. I am so proud of you.

She sounds like the perfect child!...all of your kids do! I hope you get your camera fixed soon...I've loved looking at your blog, and though I haven't seen you in YEARS, looking at your blog makes it feel like it's only been months! Hope you have a great summer!!
I was super behind reading but can I just say I think you kids are beautiful! The picture of Kobi was the one that really got me. I hope that my kids will be able to play the piano someday too.
I loved this about Kylee! It has been great to watch Kalissa start playing this past year too. I love seeing her love it!
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I have been surviving the week just fine, but I just always procrastinate going to bed when Matt's gone. That's why I've been blogging so much. But it's good cuz I needed to get more caught up.
I also didn't realize Kobi & Carter were only 2 days apart. I knew they were close, but not that close! I too love that picture of Kobi on her birthday. She's a cutie!
Mayzie is exactly like this. She is always playing by ear Nevan's assigned songs (He is a year and a half ahead of her in books). She notices if something is played in the wrong key, too. Cracks me up! I'm glad that Kylie is a musical wonder; what a blessing for her!
I love how Kylee will play just standing there...Rylee will start piano in the fall and I'm excited to see how she does!
Who's Kylee's teacher?
