5 Day Mission

Have you ever been on one?? I'm sure you all have. You know...

  • 100% focused
  • determined to do your best
  • nothing can stop you until it's done
  • no distractions
That is what I have been on. Except my mission has been in Kobi's room. All of the above were set in place, EXCEPT...
  • my kids were neglected
  • my kitchen didn't get cleaned
  • the laundry didn't get done
  • Kruz watched WAY too many movies
  • I didn't play with the girls
  • and I didn't get much sleep.
Here is how it started. Tuesday morning at 8am. Heidi A. came over and was so nice to help me get started. We painted to our little hearts content. OK well it was 11:30, and I had to leave for swimming, but we got about 2/3 the way done painting Kobi's room. Our kids played so well together, it was really just fun to sit and talk with her. Thanks Heidi.

When I got home from swimming Kruz went to bed and I finished painting the room and started on her furniture.
  • The dress-up box
  • Table and Chairs
  • Book shelf
  • Dresser
The dresser isn't complete yet, but getting close, I will post pictures when I get it done.

I needed to have as much done as possible by Friday when I started painting the chair rail. Josh and I had a date night, so instead of going out, we decided to put the chair rail up. We did a great job and it was up by 10:05. Just in time to go back and get our kids. Thanks Crystal.

This morning, Saturday, we hung the bulletin board, picture, and put on her new bedding. It looks awesome. I had to take the pictures today so that I could return the camera to my MIL, remember I still don't have one. But....I LOVE IT!! She loves it. I am so glad it is almost done. We just need to caulk and touch up the chair rail, and finish her dresser. Yahoo.

So yes my 5 day mission is complete, now back to the real world.

Hello? You are amazing! It looks incredible. I love that blue paint color!! How stoked she must be to be in her new room. So, if you guys are pro chair railers, you must be pretty good a crown molding right? I'm strating to recruit...and Austin doesn't even know it.

I love it, and I'm sure Kobi does too. I can't wait to see how the dresser turns out. When you're ready, I've decided how I'm going to paint Dylan's room and I'd love the help. It turned out great.
