It was still bitter cold as we woke up Saturday morning. It wasn't supposed to snow today, but it was COLD and WINDY. Karen and Mark offered to let the kids stay with them while we were in and at the temple and then said they would bring them too us when we were done. Man we were so lucky. It was freezing outside and even jackets and mittens weren't keeping us warm. It was a nice sealing and great to be in yet another temple for the first time that I can add to my list. http://5houghs.blogspot.com/2007/10/temples.html hmmm. (I have no idea how to add a link where people say you can just click "here".) Please leave me a message if it is easy and you can explain it. So sorry for the long link.
We quickly went back to Mark and Karen's to grab a few things and get a change of clothes and got back in the car for our 2 hour drive to South Lake Tahoe. Yes it was about 2 in the afternoon as we started our drive, and by the time we got there, it was 32 degrees and getting colder. It was a small reception with a full sit down dinner and some dancing afterwards. The was the best part. The kids had a blast. Here are a few pictures and hopefully I can load this video of Kruz. He was the "hit" of the night and everyone just thought he was the cutest thing. We have NO idea where he came up with the moves he was doing. Teaching his is his daddy and uncle Davey. Soo sorry it is sideways, I don't know how to rotate it.Does he have rhythm or what?
We made it back to the house that night at about 9:30 and we were exhausted. The kids were already sleeping so we just tucked them into bed. We weren't too far behind.
We got up Sunday and went to church (actually just sacrament.) Karen and the kids came home also and we let the kids play a little more while we packed and Kruz took a nap. We said our thank you's and good bye's and left for Trevor and Tressa's house in Fernley. We were glad to be 45 minutes closer to home, because tomorrow was gonna be a long drive.
We had dinner with T & T and just enjoyed being there. We really haven't had much one-on -one time with them ever. Trevor and Josh were such great friends growing up, but as adults, we just don't get to see them enough. But I know if we lived closer together, we would all get along so great. We had a lot of fun with them. Trevor took some family pictures for us, I am so glad to have them.
That night the boys took all the kids into the hot tub. They had a blast.
They came in tired, and we shipped them to bed. We didn't stay us too late, but said our good-byes at about 10:30 and then retired to bed.
2:30 AM came very early when the alarm went off. We got the kids up, loaded into the car and we were off. It was a GREAT drive. The kids slept until 7am and we just took our time, no worried, to time-frame. Played in the candy store, played in McDonald's after breakfast, drove slow past Hoover Dam, made a few extra bathroom stops, gave them ANCIENT GAMEBOY's with a Tetris game, and that kept them occupied for the final 3 hours of the drive.
It really was a great drive. I might actually do it again sometime. We had a wonderful vacation. It was great to see everyone, and enjoy our time away from home. Now back to reality!!!

To add a link:
Begin inside your compose screen where you write or edit your post.
Highlight the word or picture that you want to make your link.
Click on the sort of tool to the right of the text color tool. It is suppposed to be a chain link over an Earth, I think (like "link to the World Wide Web"), but it looks like a green dot wearing a funky hat.
It will open a teeny little screen where you type or paste in the web address.
Press enter.
Voila! You have created a click-here link.
I'm so jealous of your awesome trip! It looks like you have had a wonderful time!
It sounds like you guys had a great time! I'm so glad. I bet the kids had so much fun in the snow and Kruz looks like the hit of the party.
Kruz is so funny! I can just picture him now being in the middle of the circle at all the school dances. What a stud!
Looks like a great family trip, and you could use that picture on your Christmas cards - cute family.
