....at a garden.
We were REALLY determined this year to get a garden started. I went to a "box garden" class, my dad grows a GREAT garden in his backyard, and then it doesn't hurt that I have my own personal master gardener right across the street. We were determined to SUCCEED!!! We got everything ready and for Family Home Evening we started planting. (this was quite a few weeks ago) But about 2 weeks ago we are receiving the "fruits of our labors" Or is our case the vegetables. We are eating Radishes like CRAZY!!!
We only planted basic things this time, things we knew the kids would eat. And YES...my kids LOVE radishes. Even Kruz. They love tho pick them, wash and clean them, and slice them, and put some salt on them. Yum Yum....we are so glad we have so many of them.
And we feel proud that we actually had success this first time around. We cant wait for more things to be ready, and to plant more things.

Good work Shanen growing your garden! Oh yeah, I'm really embarassed...Tyler told me, "Mom, I went Trunk or Treating to the Houghs car like 8 times." Nice...sorry!
I know, we did the same thing...bag from Costco, one candy at a time. Now I can't get rid of it. Time to donate :)
Who's the master gardener on our street? I wanna meet them!
Seriously, I think it's you! Look at those beautiful radishes! Doesn't that feel great?!
Woo hoo!! Nice going. I'm so envious!
It looks terrific. One of these days (after the dog is gone) I'm going to try my hand at gardening. Dylan's tomato appetite is going to eat me out of house and home! Good work!
wow! good for you shanen! I really wanted to start one too, oh well, maybe next year. Oh and p.s. the boutique is actually at Kathy Skinner's house across the street from Sandy. How cool you remember it!
Those radished look yummy! Haven't had one of those for a long time!! We've been working on a garden too, but success wasn't so immediate like yours; we're getting better though!
You are amazing, I didn't know people really ate radishes.
Nice job! We've spent the last few weekends getting ours ready and I think we're finally going to plant next weekend (hopefully it's not too late). Now I know who to call for gardening advice when Trish isn't home :)
