So maybe not something I should post about, but what the heck. It's just another Kobi moment and worth writing down. Kobi has always been tough for me here at home. She is so darn cute, I know it, and I hear it often from those we know, and total strangers. She is very headstrong, and opinionated, and seriously won't do something if she doesn't want to. I think that will be a VERY good quality at some point in life, just not right now.
She is a pretty good student. Loves her teacher, has lots of friends, is kind to others, and for the most part, follows directions at school. Some of you know that over the past 3 weeks, I was working A LOT at the school in another kindergarten classroom. Probably too much. I saw Kobi multiple times during the day, and it was pretty fun. However, I was EXHAUSTED. Totally worn out, nothing was getting done around the house, and I was very grumpy at home with the kids. After a few days of teaching, I started noticing a change in Kobi, and so did her teacher. We really can't pinpoint it, but she was starting to talk more, get out of her seat more, and in return, loosing "Freedom Bucks" and getting "timeouts" at school. Ya, not really ok with me. This went on for about 8 days straight. I finally told her that if she didn't have an excellent day at school the next day, she wasn't going to be able to go to her soccer party.
Anyways, I am making this too long, but after a couple of pretty good days and then finally an "excellent" day yesterday(which she got rewarded for) I went to pick her up at school today to only have the principal walk outside and tell me that she had to have a talk with Kobi today. WHAT??? She had a little smirk on her face, and said "Wait tell you hear this." Kobi came out with her class and her teacher came over to tell me what happened. She was also smiling a little bit, when telling me, but said, "I had to send her." (this teacher and I are pretty good friends.) I of course agreed, and also knew that she would be punished at home.
So the story told by Kobi goes like this.
"We came in from afternoon recess and we were at the drinking fountain getting drinks.(Inside the school building.) It was hot and I wanted water on my face. The kids behind me wanted water on their faces too, so I put my finger over the fountain and was spraying their faces with water while they were waiting in line."
Wasn't that so nice of her!!!! =) Yep, she went to the principal for that one. What on earth would make her think that was ok?? I guess it could have been so much worse, but still the principal??

Since when do you go to the principal for doing service for others? She was just helping everyone out:) Ha ha...classic story...my zach is alot like that, I can totally relate!!
Wow! Super cute picture of Kobi! :)
I love her spunk. My friend just had her kindergarten son in trouble for *gulp* looking in the girls bathroom! LOL! Kids this age! They are just a laugh a minute!
I love that girl!
This story just makes me laugh. Classic Kobi I think. I love her explanation most though. Perfect. That is an adorable picture of her. Who would ever guess she's a little spitfire?
For you sanity I hope Kobi has more "excellent" days!
Ha, ha, ha! You've gotta give her credit for being so thoughtful! She really is so cute and when you add that spunky personality with her looks, you've got a dangerous combination when she's older! :)
ha! oh wow, I think I may have some principal visits with my stubborn Kosty. I love spunky kids though!
Not that you already don't know this, but she is going to give you a run for your money! A trip to the principle in kindergarten? Watch out! I can still remember my one and only trip. It was with Jamie and she threw a rock at some dumb boys who were bugging us and it hit ME square between my eyes. Nice!
