Happy New Year

Really it is 2009?? Where has the time gone? We have been so blessed in our home and can't wait to see what 2009 brings. We had a fun night last night with friends. We had a "kids" party making Gingerbread Housesand then we played games while the kids watched a movie. Well kinda. My kids didn't watch much of the movie, but we still were able to play games. We celebrated New York New Years at 10:00 with Blow Horns and Poppers, thanks Ryan and I think everyone had a great time. Here are all the kids. The Nichols, Marx's, Linfords, and Houghs.

Here is Kruz and Kate. I love this picture. Some of Kruz's favorite friends are girls, and Kate is one of them.
I'm not sure where he learned this move...

We got home and got the kids in bed and Josh and I actually stayed up until midnight. I think this was the second time in our 10 years together. We were blessed this afternoon to have my family over. Everyone was here but Jamie and Joe (it is always so sad to say that) but we had a great time. All the kids played so well together, and we had lots of yummy food, and it was just fun to sit for a few hours and talk. Ok the girls talked and the boys watched football, but we still had a great time. I am sorry to report that I have no pictures to document, but it was still great.

We look forward to 2009 and all that it brings for our family.

hahaha I'm sneaky, huh? It's a hard one and thought of you when I was posting it. I thought, "Shanen would totally be able to do this." As you can see it was very hard for me. I didn't want to ditto everyone else's that I've seen, ya know?

I like your idea to celebrate at New York time, I'm going to try that next year. I promised my kids they could stay up until midnight, but by 11:00 I was beginning to have regrets!
