We always read to the kids at night. I put Kruz to bed a lot of the time and we read 2 books, but we rotate through the same 5 or 6 books. So tonight I read the first book and he finished off the last couple of words on each page like he always does and we started the second book. It was a VERY SHORT Winnie the Pooh Block Book. *Let me just make a clear note that I DO NOT like Winnie the Pooh. I never have, and my kids never watch it on tv. The girls probably didn't even know who the characters were until Kruz came along. But someone gave Kruz a series of Winnie the Pooh Block Books and he likes them.
The story goes like this: Black Print will be what I say, and green will be his responses to end each page.
It's Dress-up Day! What should Pooh be?
Think, think, think.
Pooh has an idea!
Do you know what Pooh will be?
Pooh looks like a Butt -tree.
What?? I am holding back my smile and I say "Kruz, we don't say that." and he said, "but mom, I don't member what he is."
I say, "Oh Kruz it is a Honeybee." and he replies, "ya but I like Butt-tree better."
Nice buddy, nice.

That boy is hilarious!
Don't you just love kids?!!That's a super cute story to remember for when he's older!
That's great. Isaac has the same set of books and he reads them each night also. Luckily, he doesn't finish the end of the pages yet so I don't get the same color commentary! Too cute.
Me too Kruz. Butt-tree makes it a much better story! Love it Shan!
Hilarious!! Dax knows we don't say "butt" but his favorite thing to quote is from the first Madagascar movie when the zebra tells the lion, "Excuse me! You're biting my butt." I try not to laugh, but it is funny. I bet Kruz would get a kick out of that! So funny!!
*giggle giggle snort*
HA HA HA !
