What a day we had!!! Yesterday was Kruz's birthday and we were having all of our family over for dessert. We were planning on 29 people in our home starting at 6:15. We had a busy day planned and things didn't go really according to plan, starting out Wednesday night. Here's how things turned out.
Wednesday Night:
---Kobi says "mom, my breath hurts" at about 4:00pm. I give her an otter pop (we were outside playing)
---I am fixing dinner and at 5:30 we are ready to eat. Kobi has fallen asleep on the couch and as I go to wake her up, I notice she is warm. Ohh no. I am not ready for a sick child again. We just finished that with Kylee. I let her sleep, I run in and call the doctor and make an appointment for 1:00 the next day.
---We eat dinner, I take Kylee to piano, dinner to a friend, come home, give Kobi Motrin, send her to bed.
Thursday:
---We wake up at our normal 6:30, actually I think the kids woke up at 7:00, but we got ready like normal. Kobi woke up without a fever Yahoo!!! but is pretty tired looking. She says her throat doesn't hurt anymore. We are about ready to go, (I have to take them all to my in-laws by 7:45) and Kobi hasn't gotten dressed yet. So I get her clothes and as I take her shirt off, I notice a rash on her tummy and back. hmmm She says it doesn't itch.

---I get to school, call grandma's at about 10:00 and she says Kobi is fine. No fever, normal self, not itching, she is great.
---I pick them up at 11:30 and Kobi looks fine, rash is the same, no better, no worse. I decide to cancel the Dr. appointment, caus really I don' t have time to sit in the Dr. office for an hour.
---We hurry over to Mervyns.
---We run by the Dollar Store.
---We go into Walmart.
---My kids are starving, we don't stop yet.
---We go into Albertsons for the cake.
---We get home at about 2:00.
---I give them some lunch, put Kruz in bed, turn on a movie for the girls.
---I am at the computer and decide to call Kobi in. I look at her rash and it looks the same I think...but maybe a little more around her neck line. I decide I CANNOT let everyone come over tonight for Kruz's birthday without knowing WHAT this rash is for. (there will be 7 extra kids coming to the party) So I call the Dr. back. ---I explain how stupid this probably sounds, explain the situation for the evening, and just pray they can get me in.
---I don't care what Dr. I see, and they can get us in at 4:50.
---I give them some lunch, put Kruz in bed, turn on a movie for the girls.

---I start/finish cleaning all that needs to be done, I know I won't be home with enough time to do it later, and we head outside.
---I leave the other 2 kids with the neighbors playing, and we get to the Dr. office.

---We get called back at 5:05.
---The Dr. comes in at 5:35.
---She see her rash, tells me she is 99% sure she has Strep, but says she will do the test to make sure.

---The test comes back POSITIVE!!!

---It is now 5:50 and I start making phone calls to my sisters. (they are the only ones with kids)
---They all say they will still come over, and meet Kruz in the driveway to give him his present, and I will give them cake in return.

---So at 6:15 my sister Jennifer came with her kids, my sister Nicole came with Todd and their kids, and my mom came. They all said hi, gave Kruz kisses, took some cake home and left.My mom and Jennifer

they ate the cake, and my kids had soup for dinner.---My other sister Bryn stopped by.
---They all left at 7:30, I went to CVS for Kobi's meds, we came home and put them to BED.---I was exhausted!!! I was supposed to go to the BEAD party, I really wanted to go, but the house was a disaster, I hadn't eaten yet, and really, I just couldn't get up enough energy to go.
---So that was our day, my little boy is 2 years old, and I'm sure he didn't even know anything was crazy about his Birthday.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! ANOTHER sick kid? You have had your share girl! Happy B-day to Kruz anyway...I'm sure he still had a ball. What can I do to help...do you need dinner this weekend?
I love Kruz's smiles!! He is so adorable! I'm sure he had the best birthday even though half of the company didn't even make it in the house! I'm sad I missed the cake! How cute is that??
