Another Devil

SUN DEVIL that is. Yes with 2 ASU alums in this house I was a bit nervous. Kylee is playing softball this year and the league she plays in assigns them team names. And get this.....they are named after a COLLEGE. Well I was having serious issues because of having played softball at ASU. I was elected to be the Team MOM, and we didn't know our team name. I had looked online and some of the names were, BRUINS (UCLA), BEARS (Cal), HUSKIES (Washington), WILDCATS (U of A), SUN DEVILS (ASU)....

YES a ton of PAC-10 teams.

I was thinking, Holy Cow, how can I be a team mom, not to mention a parent in general, if my daughter has to wear a uniform of another PAC-10 team.
And don't even get me started at what would happen if she were to have to wear the DREADED Red and Blue of the OTHER Arizona school.
I was having ISSUES.

And then they tell me... you will be the SUN DEVILS.

You're darn right we will. I wouldn't have it any other way.

So here is Kylee, 7 years old, her first time playing Coach Pitch Softball, and she is following in her moms footsteps. She is proud to be a SUN DEVIL!!!

She did great in her first game on Monday night, and it is a great feeling as a mom to sit and watch you kids doing something they are having fun at, and doing well at. She hit the ball every time, made 2 outs all by herself while playing first base, and caught 2 balls in the air that were thrown to her. She had so much fun, and I can't wait to watch her play all season.

I'm so glad you guys are on our team this year. Thanks for stepping up and being team mom. hopefully our girls will grow up together playing ball, maybe even follow tradition and go to ASU. Allie wants to play and UofA so you might have to cheer for at least one member of that team someday!
