Father and Sons

This weekend was our wards Father and Son's outing. Josh has waited ALOT of years to do this with his own son. He loves to take the girls, but I guess there is just something special about wanting to take your son. I was a little bit nervous about him taking "my baby." He just barely turned 2, and I think he was the youngest boy there. But apparently he had a BLAST. He ate a ton of dinner,( thanks Matt and Heath), asked a lot of questions (thanks Mike for listening), sat on any QUAD he could climb on, and just ran around in the dirt with all the other boys. He fell asleep on Josh's lap during the video, you might notice the pups with him. He doesn't go anywhere without the pups.

Josh said he woke up 3x's in the middle of the night asking for mom, but fell right back to sleep again. It was below freezing that night, I think like 30 degrees. Luckily he was bundled up good, and Josh said he stayed warm.
They woke up at 6:30. That is later than he sleeps in here, and they were greeted with a wonderful breakfast. They played some horseshoes, went down by a small steam, and then loaded up the car. Josh said he cried when he had to get back in the car, and kept saying "owside, owside" Yes he wanted to stay outside and play.

But after a nap on the way home, he was glad to come home and see mama. I am so glad they had fun and I know they will look forward to doing this every year.

What a good daddy to take so many good pictures so that you could see what/how he did on his first Father/Son campout! I'm impressed!

It is unnecessary to say how much we ALL enjoy the Father/Son camp out around here...especially since all three can go this year!! :)

Those picures of Kruz sleeping are so precious. I love that he has his dog with him. Josh is so good for taking him, although I think Joe would be the same way. So exciting to have a son to go camping with.
I love Kylees poster too. What a sweet girl for putting such nice things about her family!

What a man Josh! He took awesome pics!! I thought Kosty was the youngest one there, he's 2.5 and apparantly the other guys thought Jer was pretty crazy for taking him! Glad to know Cruz survived and had fun! Oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!!!
