First Day of School

I can't believe I took my girls to their first day of school today. Kylee is starting 2nd grade and Kobi is in All Day Kindergarten. Where has the time gone?? Josh was able to stay home extra long this morning to walk them to school and they were so excited. Our alarm went off at 6:00, we got out of bed at 6:20 and when I went into the living room Kylee and Kobi both were sitting on the couch fully dressed with tennis shoes on. They were smiling and super excited.

We got their hair done, made their lunches, made them some eggs, packed their backpack, said family prayer, and still had time left over to hang out and watch some tv.

We all left for school and we were able to take them right into their classes. We got some cute pictures from their first day, and I think they were both super excited. I didn't have any sad moments, no tears, and no second thoughts. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. Either way, I am excited that they are in school all day and that I will have a chance to sub at school and be in their classrooms more this year.

I know it will be a GREAT one and I can' t wait to hear how the day went.

***UPDATE***

Their day was great. They both had a wonderful day and loves their teachers. We didn't get out of bed until 6:45 today( Tuesday), and this is what we were doing at 7:35 today. If only every day could go this smooth.

I still can't believe we have Kindergarteners! I know it sounds so lame to all of the moms who have older kids but I still can't believe how fast it came! Your girls look so cute.

Ok I found the blog about the incident I wrote about. Go through the Caldwell blog. Her july 26th post about her friends daughter. Go into her comments to the WARDS. Goto their blog and find JULIE and JASON. Look for the WAITE family. That is the blog.

Yeah for school! I came up with the best idea for us........ What do you think about a Wednesday/Thursday shopping day? I'll take Kruz at my house for you to go grocery shopping or run errands and then Thursday you can have Pudgie while I do the same.... Or whatever day, just so we can get the ad groceries before they run out. Let me know what you think!!!

They both look so happy for school. I remember waking up early on those first days of school too. It never seemed to last though. I'm glad they had a good day.
