What a whirl-winn these past few days have been. My baby turned 8 yesterday. Yes, Kylee is 8 years old and I can hardly believe it. We have had so much fun.
Our fun days began on Thursday when I was able to go on a field trip with her to the Zoo. It was so great to spend the morning with her, and see her around her classmates in a fun surrounding.
2nd Grade- Mrs. White's Class

Kylee and I

We got home and had to scurry around to get ready for the final Running Club Race. I didn't post about it, but at the second race, both girls did great. They got better over-all numbers, (Kylee went from 44 down to 40 and Kobi went from 158 down to 129.) But there were 2 quick girls from another school that beat Kylee and she got 3rd place. She wasn't upset at all, and Kobi still didn't place. So today they were just looking to beat their numbers again. No such luck!!! There were so many runners today, so I'm not sure what we expected. We told Kylee to just do her best and to try not to walk, we told Kobi to try and catch Kyleigh Posvar (she finished 5th I think in both races.)
Kyleigh and Kobi
As luck would have it, Kylee ran GREAT, (but her number was 61, she wasn't happy about that) but we still had no idea how she did, and Kobi...well we probably ruined Kyleigh's chances of getting another ribbon. Kyleigh slowed down and was waiting for Kobi. As soon as we saw that, we were yelling for Kyleigh to go faster and to make Kobi catch up. Our plan totally backfired. Kobi ended up finishing in front of Kyleigh, but her number was 179. So sorry Posvars. We waited around for ribbons and Kobi didn't get one. In fact, I think 5th place had like number 125. So she was way off. Kylee on the other hand, somehow sneeked in another 1st place. She was thrilled and we were so proud of her. After the race- and this is the whole reason Kobi runs...the popsicle.

Kylee's 1st place ribbon

Ok, so onto her actual birthday. We woke up and made bacon and eggs for her, opened a few presents, and then sent her off to school.
Her new Plasma Car
I was able to leave Kruz with my sister and go have lunch with her at school. McDonalds was the choice, and it was fun to just have one-on-one time with her. I was able to stay all afternoon. I was in her classroom helping with the Valentine's Party, and just enjoying my time. I popped into Kobi's classroom for a bit too, during her party, and then school was over. We picked up Kruz from my sisters house and then the day got even more busy.My friend Crystal agreed to join Kylee and I at Seville and take some pictures of Kylee in her baptism dress. It didn't take us very long, and we got 125 pictures. Thank you Crystal so much. I will post some pictures next week after she gets baptized.
Josh got home from work and we headed to his parents house. They were watching Kobi and Kruz for the night while we took Kylee out. She wanted Johnny Rockets and was so happy when the whole restaurant sang her Happy Birthday and brought her a sundae.

We then went across the way and got her Ears Pierced. She was a trooper, but kinda freaked herself out as she watched a 3 month old little baby get her ears pierced.

But she did it, and loves them. We did some extra shopping and just enjoyed our time together with just her.I think she had a great day. We all sure did have fun. We love Kylee so much. She is growing up and becoming such a great young lady. She is a HUGE blessing to have in our home and we would be incomplete without her.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLEE
WE LOVE YOU!!!
