Girls...I have always been most comfortable having my girls. I grew up with 4 sisters, my mom had sisters, my dad had sisters, boys were not a part of our family. Josh has 3 brothers, but still, I did not grow up with boys, and I certainly didn't know how to raise them. UNTIL ---6:02AM the morning of March 13, 2006 when I had just been in "easy labor" all night, sleeping, epidural, and ready to see our 3rd child come into this world. Like both of the girls, we didn't find out what this baby was, but come on, we already had 2 girls, and my pregnancy was just the same. We had our girl name picked out, and had a couple of boy names just in case.

My Dr. came running in, and our HE came. Yes, HE, a BOY. The Dr., ALL the nurses, (and there were a lot of nurses because 6:00 was "shift change", and Josh were all cheering, they were so excited, and there I sat crying. Yes crying. How was I possibly going to raise a boy? I didn't know where to begin.

I'll tell you what, It happened early on, but the phrase "MAMA's BOY" give me all new meaning. This is MY boy. I love this kid like I never thought I could love a boy, he is the

  little boy ever. He is much more cuddly than the girls ever were, and he just melts my heart. Our family would NOT be complete without him.

Here's what we did this morning before Josh went to work.
** We had a great day and had a party tonight for him. Most of his aunts, uncles and grandma's and grandpa's were here, plus some friends. We are grateful for everyone that could be here to help us celebrate.

I copied this cute cake idea from a dear friend, and it turned out just perfect. It tasted yummy too.
